Steve has directed and edited imaginative, experimental and essayistic films, which cross the borders of fiction and documentary. His work has been distributed via cinema release, TV broadcast, art galleries and community networks. He has worked extensively in the independent film sector as a scriptwriter, cameraman, director and editor with Cinema Action, Faction, Platform and Lucia Films and was head of the MA in filmmaking at Sheffield Hallam University. His daughter Tonje has lived with an extremely debilitating illness for the past 20 years and campaigns for better social provision for all with long term disability.
