Charles is a broadcast journalist, filmmaker and entrepreneur, having owned and managed his own production company in the United Kingdom. Charles has worked on both sides of the lens – as front-of-camera talent and as an operator and director of photography. He has shot across genres, from news and news features to commercials, short films, short form documentaries and music videos, in a career spanning more than thirty years. Charles has taught himself to edit, starting with 2 and 3-machine Betacam suites in the ‘90s and has moved to regularly using Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Charles’ former employers and clients have ranged from the BBC and Reuters to well-known banks and confectionery companies.
