Paula Geraghty has been a photojournalist for almost three decades,based in Ireland. She is a pioneering video journalist, creating the YouTube channel Trade Union TV in 2009, developing a unique response to the vicious Austerity cuts to workers and communities across Ireland.
Paula has worked for many trade unions and civil society organisations reporting from within social movements in real time. Paula’s deep understanding of race, class and gender ensures she captures and shines a light on the voice of the movement.
She co founded & was Director of the Dublin Workers Film Festival in 2016 & 2017. She has through her photojournalism & filmmaking contributing to many Irish & international TV programs & documentaries.
She is currently working on preserving and making her unique and extensive archive accessible, while also working on a short documentary about the Irish women’s peace movement protest from over four decades ago, which became one of Ireland’s biggest miscarriages of justice.
